Franklin Institute Family Photography || Unique Location For Photos
We love doing fun lifestyle family shoots, and this is the 2nd we have done recently. This time we did a Franklin Institute family photography session with Naomi, Josh, Aiden, Zakai, and Ezra. And this session was Extra Special. What a unique location for photos! But also, Naomi and Josh got married at the Franklin Institute. We first met them when we captured their Orthodox Jewish wedding. And we have photographed them many times since with their first maternity session, birth of their twin boys, and the birth of Ezra. We have even done milestone collections with them that included newborn, 6 month’s and 1 year with a cake smash! So to celebrate Ezra’s first birthday it was only fitting to go to this very special place.
And it was the very first time the boys have been there. So Naomi called and got permission for us to do a family session as long as we kept it low-key. Of course this was the busiest day at the Franklin Institute Al and I had ever seen. We are talking A LOT of school groups! We wanted to get great family shots but also be respectful of other guests. I always work really hard to get shots that don’t have a lot of extra people in the background. So I am pretty used to it and so was up to the challenge. We also wanted to let the kids run around and have fun!
They definitely had a great time!
They really loved the trains and the airplane – but who could blame them! Because it was so crowded we had a harder time finding a cool way for Ezra to smash and eat his birthday cake (and not a highchair in sight). But we made it work. We just moved a table over a bit, put down the plastic tablecloth, got out the same 1-year-old party hat, and had at it! At first he was a little shy but then really got into it and was smiling away. Ezra smiled pretty much the Whole day! And I can’t believe how big Aiden and Zakai are. We have really enjoyed watching them grow up.
This will be the last photos before they get their haircuts. It is the Orthodox Jewish tradition that boys do not get their first haircut until they are 3. I will certainly miss that awesome hair Zakai has! He is my “moody artist” muse! Thank you for being a part of the BG Family, Naomi and Josh! And for letting us get to know and capture your amazing family!
