Skytop Lodge Wedding Photography || Lauren + Jerry
I can not even describe how magical Lauren and Jerry’s Skytop Lodge wedding photography in the Poconos was. Just absolutely A few weeks before the wedding I had the opportunity to do photos of Lauren’s bridal shower and that got me even more excited to shoot the actual wedding day. I just knew it was going to be filled with sweetness and love. And after Al and I took a day to ride up there for a walk through meeting, we just KNEW it was going to be Amazing! The staff took us up to an offsite waterfall to check out for photos. And OMG!! We totally knew we had to do some portraits there so we built a timeline that gave plenty of time for us to go on an adventure.
The day of the wedding the weather had been on and off showers. But Lauren wasn’t worried at all and we knew we were going to get everything outside (including their ceremony) that we wanted. You’ve got to love brides like that, don’t stress and go with the flow of the day because there are some things you just can’t control – like the weather. Since we were in the woods with limited background views and lighting, we decided to play around with some smoke bombs. I just love all of these photos from their wedding!
Lauren and Jerry were up for ANYTHING!
Lauren is not a hiker but she was willing to climb all over the rocks and the stream to get some Amazing photos! All day she said “whatever Cat wants” lol! I just love that kind of trust. They have seen a lot of our past work and really wanted to get creative with us. And then at night Jen and I pulled them away from the reception and dancing to play with some back-lighting and atmosphere spray. We really didn’t even have to do much as there was a very slight mist that once the light hit it just popped! Truly magical!
The whole day was simply amazing. And we are just so thrilled we were the ones to capture this beautiful Poconos wedding with both photography and videography. It certainly was a day to remember! Thanks to out Awesome possum second team with Jen and Beth assisting Al and I. We have the Best BG Cleints and the best BG Team! Though I cant believe we forgot to get our famous photo with the bride and groom! S sad about that but we will still remember the amazing time we could share with them.
