2020’s Popular Wedding Trends: Micro Weddings | Aleasha & Alfonso

Sometimes it’s hard to stop and look around and find something positive about this crazy year we’re living in. But one thing is for sure, and that’s Love is NOT canceled! Some venues may be closed and there’s all kinds of rules about indoor dining (all in the name of safety of course). Some couples are making the hard choice to postpone their weddings. But others are choosing to still have their wedding day and scale it down. Maybe a little bit, like having a full wedding day worth of formalities squeezed into a few hours. Or a lot, doing just the important things with the most important people for just an hour or two. Aleasha and Alfonso chose to embrace 2020’s Popular Wedding Trend ~ a backyard micro wedding.

It’s a really hard decision to make to have a micro wedding. It’s not for everyone. And those that don’t want to give up their dream of a big wedding can wait.You have their whole lives to be together after all, there’s no need to rush it. But there’s also something special about figuring out what’s really important to you. There are safety limitations, mask wearing, lots of hand washing and maybe not as many hugs as we all want. But you can still share the love and dance with your partner and wish the new married couple a congratulations. And these two had it all – each other, their very important people by their sides and a BEAUTIFUL sun filled backyard to make it all happen. Congrats you two, we’re honored to have captured it through photography and video.

Aleasha and Alfonso tell about their day:

2020 shook our world, so understandably everything was affected (including weddings). We could not have the large traditional wedding we thought we would have, so we decided to do a micro wedding. Less than 20 people attended our backyard wedding, and it was lovely. We had about a month to pull everything together, and we were so grateful Cathie and Al were willing to capture our special day, especially during this Covid pandemic.  They were professional and kind, they gave us a great product, and they worked with our budget. To have a wedding during Covid will always be memorable, and we’re grateful that BeauMonde Originals helped capture it.
