Jewish Wedding at Hilton Philadelphia City Ave

We are no strangers to Jewish weddings, actually we LOVE them! They are always guaranteed to be a good time. Especially an Orthodox Jewish wedding like Hana and Joe’s. This Jewish wedding at Hilton Philadelphia City Ave was yet another amazing wedding!

I remember shooting our first Orthodox Jewish wedding (photo and video) and the learning experience it was! You really have to be ready for anything and dancing, so much dancing. There is a fun flow to the day – usually starting out with getting ready photos, there are many prayers and sometimes the couple chooses to fast until they are married. The Ketubah will be signed, the Bedeken is always a super fun and energetic time, a ceremony under the Chuppah, and everyone is familiar with the tradition of breaking the glass. There’s lots of Mazel Tov going around, and the party is like no other.

Hana and Joe decided to do something different that was really really cool – they wanted to all of their wedding portraits before the wedding day. Why have we never thought of that before, it was so great!

No matter how well a wedding day is planned, we always wish their is more times for portraits of the bride and groom. Well we met up with Hana and Joe the week before so there was less stress the day of their wedding and so we didn’t have to rush to get everything in. And they knew on their wedding day they wanted to spend all the time with their loved ones.

The still had their first look and we walked around Old City Philadelphia for some classic wedding portraits.
