Our Favorite and Best Philadelphia Wedding Venues
Philadelphia and the surrounding area has some incredible places to get married. Philly is our home base and we have shot at hundreds of venues! Right now, it is so hard for couples who are planning their weddings due to Covid-19. They cannot get out and check out these locations in person. That’s why we’re trying to get the word out to venues we are doing no-contact virtual tours. And why we created this list of some of our all-time faves! We started out making a Top 10 Wedding Venues but there are just too many good ones. So here is our Top 25 Best Philadelphia wedding venues.
The Horticulture Center
This is one of our favorite places to visit in general and it’s really awesome for weddings. This unique venue is located in Fairmount Park with both indoor and outdoor spaces to host your wedding ceremony, reception, and rehearsal dinner. Built in 1979, the Center sits on the former Horticultural Hall, an 1876 Centennial Exposition Building. A portion of the event fees from renting the Horticulture Center benefits Fairmount Park Conservancy.
The Horticulture Center accommodates up to 300 people in this historic and elegant arboretum. The surroundings of the Center are beautiful no matter what time of the year with the green grass and gardens. You can choose to hold your event in the expansive open greenhouse that provides spectacular views of the lush and natural surroundings. There is also a modern exhibition hall to host a larger reception. A variety of smaller spaces, such as the gardens or reflecting pool, are ideal for more intimate gatherings. You can work with them to transform any of the spaces to fit your wedding style and tastes. There is parking, valet, and shuttle service available, and the Horticulture Center is wheelchair accessible and pet-friendly.
John James Audubon Center
There are so many amazing places to take photos here! Imagine getting married among 175 acres of breathtaking foliage, sweeping meadows, and rolling hills. The John J. Audubon Center offers the perfect setting for magnificent receptions any time of year.
A wild apple orchard, nineteenth-century fieldstone barn and winding creek set the stage for your unforgettable ceremony with dinner and dancing in our stunning four-season pavilion. Quietly secluded off Route 422 in Audubon PA, it’s just minutes away from the heart of King of Prussia with access to hotels, shopping and major roads.
Terrain Gardens at Devon Yard
Terrain Gardens is a banquet hall wedding venue located in Devon, Pennsylvania. This venue offers a lush, horticultural setting with greenery that provides a beautiful backdrop for wedding ceremonies and receptions, as well as other special occasions. The venue is situated on the Philadelphia Main Line, and offers a variety of indoor and outdoor garden-themed event spaces that reflect the cycle of the seasons.
They offer four distinctive event spaces that accommodate up to 140 guests. Each space features a backdrop of lush, ever-changing greenery that will give your wedding a lavish horticultural setting in all seasons. The Ceremony Garden is a secluded outdoor garden hideaway that is perfect for an intimate, memorable ceremony. The Reception Room offers a combination of rustic charm and modern amenities for indoor celebrations year-round. The Garden Porch is an ideal spot for socializing and enjoying your cocktail hour. The venue also includes a stunning Bridal Suite, which provides a spacious and private area to give the bridal party a moment of quiet before the ceremony.
Colonial Dames is definitely a hidden gem in the heart of Center City. The headquarters is available to the general public to rent for weddings and events. The House can comfortably accommodate small, intimate gatherings for 10 to 50 guests in the downstairs rooms, or up to 120 guests for a reception in its beautiful upstairs ballroom. The upstairs of the House is fully air-conditioned for comfort during summer months.
Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts
The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts is a historic wedding venue located in the heart of center city Philadelphia. It is the nation’s first art museum and school of fine arts. With a convenient location, gorgeous architecture, and top-notch event services, this museum venue is a fabulous location for an elegant event experience.
The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts offers a totally unique wedding experience, where you and your guests can celebrate within the art galleries. The Historic Landmark Building is a gothic Victorian architectural gem, complete with a grand staircase, columns, and skylights all over the ceiling from 1876. It’s perfect for weddings 275+. The Hamilton Building is a turn-of-the-century car showroom turned modern gallery space. It features modern galleries with a bright, airy, and fun feel and will fit 250+ guests.
FAME is an event space located in the North Kensington Art District of Philadelphia, PA. It is a modern space located on the top floor of a former textile factory. The main loft space has 15-foot ceilings, a cocktail lounge, outdoor patio, wood floors, and modern lighting.
FAME can accommodate 500 guests for a seated dinner, dancing and cocktail reception. Their industrial building has stunning views of the city and beautiful windows lining the long walls. Catering is through Feast Your Eyes Catering (also check out Front and Palmer) and they are fantastic to work with. And I love taking photos on the rooftop!
The Mann Center
The Mann Center is one of Philadelphia’s newest wedding venues. It has served for many decades as the City of Philadelphia’s premier outdoor summer performing arts festival. They have a wide array of cultural programming and popular events memorable for generations of Philadelphians. The Mann is situated in historic Fairmount Park and offers a unique experience and unforgettable settings. It’s great for corporate outings, private milestone celebrations and everything in between. And talk about a great skyline view. This venue holds 100-500 guests.
Morris House Hotel
Built in 1787, the Morris House Hotel is a National Historic Landmark where colonial charm pairs with the luxuries of today. The location, history and sophistication of The Morris House and M Restaurant are unparalleled. Booking this venue guarantees exclusive rights to the property, which is a big deal! Depending on the size of your wedding this can include the Restaurant Building and Bar, the Courtyard Garden, the Library and the Reynolds Room. The 4,800 square foot courtyard garden is one of a kind among Center City venues. The handcrafted Revolutionary-era brick reflects a past example of the attention to detail we pride ourselves on today. When you step off South 8th Street, through the wrought iron gates and into the courtyard garden, you may feel as if you’ve stepped into the south of France.
Union Trust is a wedding venue located in the Historic District of Philadelphia. Built in 1888, this elegant venue is an embodiment of rich Philadelphia history. It once served as The Union Trust Company Bank. Its grand architecture and elegant decor provide a modern, chic setting for an unforgettable wedding celebration. The convenience of their in-house event coordination and professional catering company will ease the stress of the planning process. You to enjoy the entire experience with your loved ones.
Union Trust offers four indoor event spaces, accommodating up to 190 guests. The venue features soaring sixty-five-foot illuminated engraved ceilings, architecturally accented walls, multiple private rooms and a breathtaking balcony that overlooks the whole space. With a blend of the old, regal Philadelphia and a new, vibrant atmosphere, Union Trust will leave your guests speechless.
Material Culture offers 60,000 square feet of space–a spectacular stage for any event! It was built in 1920 and occupies the former train garage of the landmark Atwater Kent Radio Factory. Their showroom is available to rent for private parties, functions or receptions. There are towering ceilings, generous expanses of natural light, and rooms adorned with architectural elements and artwork from around the globe.
One of our favorite venues is only 10 mins from our house! Ridgeland Mansion is a historic wedding venue located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Set in historic Fairmount Park, this stunning Federal-style mansion was built in 1719. It sits on five beautiful acres that provide a breathtaking backdrop for your special day.
Ridgeland Mansion offers both indoor and outdoor event space options for your ceremony and reception. Exchange your vows in their Secret Garden surrounded by lush landscape, then celebrate with dinner and dancing inside their barn. Their stunning tent outside can accommodate 300 people and features a three-sided bar and side walls with cathedral windows. The Ridgeland Barn can fit more intimate groups of up to 80 guests for theater-style events and 60 guests for banquets.
Front Street Café – The Liaison Room
The Cafe offers residents of Fishtown and surrounding neighborhoods a friendly atmosphere. They have a fresh menu featuring farm-to-table, locally sourced and organic cuisine. This unique space houses a coffee shop, fresh juice bar, European beer garden, outdoor terrace with garden seating, indoor & outdoor bar, and private upstairs event space.

Arts Ballroom is a classic wedding venue based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Located near the Avenue of the Arts, this bright and charming venue is perfect for a ballroom-style wedding.
The Arts Ballroom can accommodate up to 230 wedding attendees in their majestic ballroom. Their 1920’s-inspired art deco building features a two-story Grand Ballroom, lounge and Mezzanine, and gorgeous Sylvania Ballroom with lavish mirrors to provide an even more open appearance. The Free Library of Philadelphia
The Free Library on the Parkway is a modern event venue. As a historic library with a classy and grandiose vibe, this venue is the perfect place to wed for couples looking for a unique and elegant venue. They can host up to 250 wedding guests.
Their three spaces include covered or uncovered outdoor locations and a lavish indoor ceremony space. This modern venue also features breathtaking views of the city’s skyline for even more of a luxurious backdrop for all of your memorable wedding photos with friends and family. Cescaphe – our faves are Tendenza, Water Works and Vie
Tendenza, Italian for “trend,” lives up to its name in endless diversities. This venue brings a whole new level of exquisite glam to the Philadelphia Wedding scene. The urban-inspired ballroom features exposed brick walls with beamed ceilings, combined with chic, dazzling chandeliers and mixtures of glass, stainless steel and reclaimed wood. With a multi-level cocktail hour detailed with elements from suspended glass tables hosting clams, oysters, jumbo shrimp cocktail and crab claws to a striking floor to ceiling top-shelf open bar, Tendenza is the perfect industrial, yet elegant event space.
Water Works is a combination of gracious Neoclassical architecture on the outside and then-revolutionary technology within once drew visitors from around the world (including Charles Dickens). Today, the Water Works provides rich contemporary luxury in its lavish interior spaces in one of the city’s most picturesque settings. Columned walkways, a vintage gazebo. The Art Museum perched dramatically above and Boathouse Row stretched out along the Schuylkill River just beyond.
With its unique blend of expansive space and intimate settings, Vie helps you create grand affairs while still keeping the spotlight on what matters most: Your love for each other.
The Knowlton Mansion boasts stunning architecture and landscaping. The estate, which was originally constructed back in the 19th-century, was restored by Conroy Catering. When they restored this country estate in 1999, they added contemporary elements yet carefully retained many of the classic Victorian touches so that its past could still be celebrated.
Couples have both indoor as well as uncovered outdoor site options to choose from. The 13 acres of gardens are always meticulously planned and maintained. It provides a cozy and romantic setting in which to exchange your vows. Tall, lush trees frame the exterior, and secluded garden sites are found all throughout the property providing couples with plenty of privacy. And with the spacious interior, couples are able to invite up to 250 of their friends and family to join them on their big day.
Globe Dye Works
This old dye factory is one of the coolest wedding venues in Philadelphia. We have shot a lot of events here and each one is always unique and the food is amazing with their caterers. This 350 guest capacity space in the old factory boiler room is available for hosting weddings, private parties, art exhibitions, fundraisers, and more.
The Awbury Arboretum is a storybook wedding venue located in a 55-acre arboretum in the historic Germantown neighborhood of Northwest Philadelphia. The Francis Cope House is a gracious Victorian stone mansion that has floor-to-ceiling windows and a magnificent wrap-around porch. There you have the perfect picturesque view of an English landscape of specimen trees, woods and rolling meadows. Imagine meandering trails, wetlands, open fields and even a Secret Garden! The venue‘s capacity is 175 with outdoor dining on a flagstone patio and white tent encircled by landscaped gardens.
The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm
The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm is a historic bed and breakfast wedding venue based in Holicong, Pennsylvania. The 300-year-old colonial estate is nestled on 200 acres of rural land, offering a naturally romantic oasis for your big day. From the pastures and wildflowers to the barn and gazebo, couples will find countless spots to take unforgettable photos.
After entering the majestic gates and traveling down a tree-lined driveway, guests will be welcomed by a cobblestone courtyard, bronze fountain and lotus pond. Ash Mill Farm
You will love the unique, country vibe of Ash Mill Farm. The property is perfect for creating the outdoor wedding of your dreams. Expansive country grounds and a rustic barn with character laden wood floors make this the perfect setting to host a intimate wedding surrounded by your friends and family or an elegant gala under the stars.
HollyHedge Estate is a rustic mansion wedding venue located in New Hope, Pennsylvania. This 18th-century property boasts 21 acres of gorgeous gardens, fieldstone buildings, and a historic stone barn, setting an idyllic tone for your nuptials.
