We’re thrilled to announce our collaboration with City Food Tours Philadelphia to highlight the fellow incredible Comcast RISE grant recipients in Philly. This initiative is a celebration of community, creativity, and collaboration, designed to showcase the vibrant small businesses that make Philadelphia unique (and that tastes so good!) We did our specialty, and captured photos and video during this curated special tour across various neighborhoods in the city Each stop featuring a local business that has benefited from the Comcast RISE program. Through photos, videos, and heartfelt stories, we’re bringing these inspiring entrepreneurs and their delicious offerings to you. Today, we’re highlighting and showing off Stina Pizzeria, on the edge of Newbold and West Passyunk neighborhoods.
Celebrating Community and Creativity with City Food Tours and Comcast RISE
One of the standout stops on our tour was Stina Pizzeria, a true gem in Philadelphia’s food scene. Located in the heart of the city, Stina Pizzeria is not just a place to grab a slice—it’s a culinary experience crafted with love and passion. The moment you step inside, you can feel the warmth and dedication of the owners, who pour their heart into every dish they create. They’re known for theirs Mediterranean fare such as hummus, meat skewers & gyros, plus wood-fired pizza.
During our visit, we had the pleasure of speaking with the owners about their journey and the inspiration behind their pizzeria. Their story is one of resilience and creativity, reflecting the spirit of the Comcast RISE program, which aims to uplift small businesses and help them thrive. We left Stina Pizzeria not only with full stomachs but also with a deep appreciation for the hard work and dedication that goes into running a successful local business. I went back for dinner at another date, since I was so busy taking photos, and it was absolutely fabulous. It was wonderful to sit and enjoy all the interesting decor they have while enjoying all the food. Their hummus is fantastic and I love their pizza.
